How do i change my signature in yahoo's all new mail?

How do I change my name on my e-mail address? I want to edit my user name (I don't mean signature).

  • I got my email address a long time ago, don't want to change it because I really really like it! The problem though is that I really should edit the name I registered it with. I am not talking about my signature, that I know how to change. I just mean the name which will automatically pop up when I send a someone an email. I checked the area where you can change your details, password, etc..but it doesn't appear to give you any option for changing your name! Pity, though...if anyone has an answer/solution to my question then please post!

    You just need to change the "from line" name. Mail page>>options (top right)>>scroll to and click on "general preferences". At the top of that page----erase the name that shows on the From line and type in something else---a nickname or an alias or whatever suits you-----then click "save" at bottom of page. Just in case you're using the "New Mail". Mail page>>options>>mail options>>accounts (side panel)>>add/edit an account>>Yahoo mail (side panel)>>edit>>general preferences----and change it and save it.

You can't change your registered user name that IS your email address, but you can change what appears with your actual email address to those receiving your emails. Just go to Options and then General Preferences. Right there at the top you'll see the option to change what appears to people receiving your emails.
