How do I change welcome message?

How do you change the Yahoo welcome message?

  • How do you change the "Welcome (your name)" message in Mail Beta? For some reason mine displays my last name instead of my first name. Ideally I'd like to switch it off altogether because I think it's a bit cheesy.

  • Answer:

    The welcome message gives the message on your name. Its the profile. If your name on your profile and the mail id are same, then you can't do anything. But if they are different, then you can change your name to anything you want and the message will change accordingly. You cannot altogether switch it off.

I like the welcome thing. Maybe you should look at your account and make sure your first and last names are in the right place. That's the only thing I can think of.

Go into your account and change your name. Whatever u list as your name will show in your welcome messge.
