How do I change my display name to e-mail recipients?

Currently, when I send an e-mail out, the recipient sees "Ivory J" as the sender. I'd like to change that to my Yahoo user name - writeraz. I've tried updating my profile, account, everything, but nothing is working. How do I change my preferences so that when I send an e-mail out the recipient sees me as "writeraz" not "Ivory J"? (The Yahoo system welcomes me as "writer" but e-mails still go out from "Ivory J")

There are two ways to change the FROM name depending on whether you have Classic or New Yahoo Mail. CLASSIC - Click on the following options / mail / general preferences NEW - Click on the following options / mail options / accounts / add or edit an account / edit In both cases you will end up at the General Preferences page where you can change the FROM name. ✩
