Why can't I make my avatar my picture?

How do you make an avatar?

  • i cant figure out how to make one of the little animated avatar pics for my picture): please help

    Your avatar can be a cartoon or a photo. Go to your Yahoo Answers profile at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about Click on "update photo or avatar" and a small window will open. To add a new "photo" avatar click on "add photo". To add a cartoon avatar click on "customize avatar". Create one and return. [Note: "Customize avatar" opens a new tab or window with http://avatars.yahoo.com ] Select the photo you want to use. After clicking "use selected photo" be sure to click "submit" ʎəɿʞɹɐq  ̊ ͜͡● ̊

To create/change a Yahoo cartoon avatar go here: http://avatars.yahoo.com/ Then go to: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit , click "use my yahoo avatar" -> scroll down -> click "preview" and then "ok".
