How do I add a yahoo mail icon to desktop?

  • I have read to go to start and right click on yahoo mail and create shortcut but the problem is I don't have the yahoo mail icon in my start menu...so how do I make one?

    Good question, that has an easy solution. First, go to www.yahoo.com. Then, Find the box on the right side of the page that says "Check your mail status: Sign In Free mail: " and has six buttons in the box that say "Mail, Messenger, Radio, weather, Local, and Horoscope." Once you have found this box right click on the word "Mail." A drop-down list will appear and click on the item that says "Copy Shortcut." Next, minus the window so that th desktop is clear. Lastly, find an open space on the desktop and right-click and choose the option "Paste Shortcut." That's All!! Hope this helps you^_^

I myself do things the easy way, such as bring up your yahoo email page, while it is on screen, rt click on the page and the drop down options will be there, look for the one that says>>create a shortcut,left click on the line and it should pop up a shortcut will be added to your desktop, click O.K.. May not be according to the books but it has worked for me, just be sure to click on the create a shortcut tab<line or you can end up with something you don't want or need, has happened to me!!!! You could add a yahoo toolbar and the mail icon would be in it at the top of the page, unless you already have the toolbar and just not added the mail setting.
