How can I get my background settings back?

Why can't I change the color of text when i am composing an email or change the background color anymore?

• I have had this acct for 5 yrs and i know how to change settings, select a different font, size of text, color of text, background themes, etc but for some reason when i click the color pallet above the compostin box the boxes are all white. Then i change the background and save and nothing changes. My computer crashed a few weeks ago and i have been trying to get all my settings back but this is a problem i can't fix. Yahoo keeps telling me how to do it normally and i already KNOW that, and it isn't working!!! Also, i have created 3 other accounts, 2 others not Yahoo, and same issue, no option to change the text color when composing email, the actual text which i do every time i write an email. It's just black, but the whole box that comes up is all white, shows no colors to choose from at all. HELP!!!!!!! Please, thanks!!!!!!!!!

  I am having the same problem. I tried color from another computer without a problem. I tried different accounts on problems computer and problem persisted. I tried Firefox on problem computer and problem persisted. I tried with different ISP and problem persisted. I conclude a. It is not a Yahoo server problem b. It is not an ISP problem c. It probably is not a browser settings problem d. It probably is a problem computer settings problem Is the composition engine rich text? Could it be a setting for rich text? I have tried several suggestions by Yahoo without result including a. enable javascript b. latest java runtime c. disable browser addons Still to try disable Antiirus/Antispy/Firewall
