How do you get your Avatar to be your Yahoo picture?

Does anyone know how to get your full Avatar picture as your Yahoo Answers Picture?

  • I have my Yahoo Avatar set as my picture. But all it shows is the face. I want to get a full image from head to toe.. does anyone know how to do it?

  • Answer:

I'll try! I'ts a challenge, but possible as you can see. To create full view avatar: >go to *'Yahoo! Avatars' (click on your image from your e-mail box) >create and save your avatar (use the zoom feature - it's the button with the bent arrow, 'show all') 'Copy' or 'Save As' your avatar from the post card option in the avatar wardrobe room> >click on 'Avatar Postcard' (far right, blue letters, under 'Managment') >right click on your avatar image >left click on 'Copy' or 'Save Picture As' (save to 'My Documents/My pictures' folder and open in a photo program) (or 'Paste' it in a photo program )(I used a free program called **'IrfanView') >'save as' a jpeg (When you are finished manipulating your image, save out as a jpeg file) Go to your 360 page ***'My Page' > >click on your image in Yahoo! Answers >click on 'My 360 profile (to the right of your image in blue letters) >click on 'My Page' (above your image - in horizontal list of options - in blue letters) >click on 'Edit Personal Photos' (above your image) >scroll down to and click on 'Remove Photo' (remove photo of your choice) >click on 'Browse' >bring up the 'My Documents/My Pictures' folder >double left click the picture file of your choice >scroll down to and click on the 'Save' button >again - click on 'Edit Personal Photos' (above your image) >scroll down to and check '[O]Set as primary' >scroll down to and click 'Save' button Go to ****'Edit My Profile'> >go to Yahoo! Answers >click on your image (or click on 'My Q&A') >click on 'Edit My Info' (under your image in your Q&A - in blue letters) >scroll down to 'Picture' section >check '[O]Use my Yahoo! 360 Picture' >scroll down to and click the blue 'Picture' button >scroll down to and click the blue 'OK' button Be sure to save your avatar in the wardrobe room before going to the post card option. You can right click on the image and paste it in a photo program or right click and 'Save Picture As' and save it to your 'My Documents/My Pictures' folder to upload into your 360 page. I tried to use the Microsoft 'Paint' program on my computer but it would not work (I'm using Win 98 with an old 'Paint' program). You may want to experiment with the size of your image, I saved mine at 100% but it looks a bit small. File Format: Your images must be in the JPEG format. (JPEG files usually end with ".jpeg" or ".jpg" or ".jpe."). Each image must be smaller than 5MB. There is more information at *****'Personal Photo Guidelines'. *Yahoo!
