How do I get my contacts to list alphabetically by last name?

I hate the new Yahoo... How do I get my old format back? How do I get my Contacts by their last names?

  • I have many business contacts in my address book so this "first name" format isn't cutting it... I hate it! How do I get my old "Contacts List" back?

    It's the same in either Classic or New Mail---it just hasn't hit all accounts yet----but it will, and, currently, can't be returned to the previous format (as I understand it). The "last name" option was removed and we're left with only "first name" or "email address" choices. !!That stinks!! I guess you could edit "each" contact's information and put their last name in the "first name box" and their first name in the "last name box" ??? Time consuming I'm sure----but it might be worth it in the long run.

I agree, and I can't figure out how to go back to Classic. Sorting by Reverse Order does not help. All that happens is the first names are sorted Z to A. No help at all. Also I don't like that the nicknames are not visible. Those are important to me, I use them for job titles in my volunteer groups.

Contact Yahoo. Front page at bottom "Send Feedback". Yahoo has said that is where you let them know about reactions to their changes. We all hate the new format. It is unusable. Maybe it is ok for social networking or cell phones, but it isn't ok for all of the rest of us who use email on a daily basis. I also have many businesses, parts-people, and others that can only be contacted by email. Since I have no idea of their first names, this is actually absurd. Go back, Yahoo. We cannot afford to lose all the information we have stored in the contacts information pages. Let Yahoo know. "Send feedback"
