How can I edit my first name on yahoo e-mail address?

Answer:
If your first name is part of the actual address---there's nothing you can do, except make a new account, since you can't change an address. HOWEVER If you name is only in front of the address----then you can change it to anything you want. Mail page>>options (top right)>>scroll to and click on "general preferences". At the top of that page----erase the name that shows on the From line and type in something else---a nickname or an alias or whatever suits you-----then click "save" at bottom of page. Just in case you're using the "New Mail". Mail page>>options>>mail options>>accounts (side panel)>>add/edit an account>>Yahoo mail (side panel)>>edit>>general preferences----and change it and save it.
