Im so upset. someone, somehow used my yahoo email address to send a viagra ad to MY CONTACTS. How can i stop?

I and other friends have been hacked in the same way. The email went to everyone on my contacts list in yahoo mail ... It turns out that the four letters( or numbers ) in front of the goodmedx determine I think who gets paid if there is a click thru... If you enter the url without the four letters in front of goodmedx it goes to the url http://www.xpays.com/ The last friend that got hacked in this way, was also a member of a yahoo GROUP. I believe hackers have found a way to get into yahoo accounts that are members of a yahoo group... I'm still looking into it.

This sounds oddly familiar. My friend Gabby had the same exact problem yesterday or today. I don't why though. I hope you get it fixed soon and no one thinks of you differently! Good luck!

HACKING PREVENTION: Someone has hacked your account and is still sending Spam to those in your address book. Each one will have a person's name in the subject line. When opened, there is a link to some advertising sight. If you click on the link, you get Mal-ware or Spyware. 1: Do a spyware scan on your computer to find the malware which is sending those messages and remove it. 2: After your hard drive is cleaned, change your password, not before! PREVENT ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT: 1. Change your password. 2. Clean your cache, delete history of visited websites and "Sign Out" of your account completely before leaving the computer. Click the "Sign Out" button. If you leave it open, anyone can open and read your email. They can also go to the history function, or just hit the back button and get into your account. Don't forget your ID and new password though. You will need it the next time you sign into your Yahoo account. Never open emails from someone you do not know, or click on a link. That's how the hackers get your account info. Set up your Spam Protection. 1. Click on the "Options", Mail Options link in the upper right of your yahoo mail page. 2. Click on "Spam" in the left navigation bar. 3. Fill out the form and click the "Save Changes" link at the top left. Once you have this set up, each time you see spam or mail that you want to block, check the box next to it, go to the top of the email list and click the "Spam" button. Note: Every message you report trains your Spam Guard filters to work better for you. The messages you select in this way will be deleted and reported as spam. The senders of the messages will be added to your "Blocked Addresses" list.
