Should i give I-con my address?

Why is the icon to add new contacts to my address book gone?

  • Lately the "add to address book" option has disappeared from the header when I open an incoming email. How do I add a new contact with one click from an open email? I've seen several other people on here reporting the same problem in the past couple of months and this still hasn't been resolved. Is this gone forever? And why? Is it because I haven't upgraded to the new mail and that I am still using the basic? I have not upgraded because I have Windows 98. This is my 3rd time questioning this problem. Please give us back the icon in our emails to add new contacts to our address book with 1 click. Doing it manually is a pain and an inconvenience.

  • Answer:

This is just one of the changes that Yahoo is doing to our good old dependable Classic Mail. I personally agree with you----but Yahoo didn't feel it was necessary to consult me----nor, obviously, you either-----imagine that. The one click "add to address book" is a thing of the past, and we now have to do it the long way----each one manually added. Maybe Yahoo is trying to discourage so many addresses in our contact list---who knows---they didn't give a reason (that I ever saw). Get ready tho-----cause more changes are coming----(if you haven't already experienced them yet). This link outlines some of the changes---if you're interested---- http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/basics/whatsnew-01.html
