How do I retrieve addresses from previous Yahoo account?

How do I transfer my Embarq addresses to Yahoo account and notify addresses of new Yahoo address?

  • I want to transfer my Embarq account to a Yahoo account and would like to have all of my email addresses transferred to new Yahoo account and then notify them of my new Yahoo email address. Then,I would like to merge old Yahoo address w/new address and transfer those email addresses to new and notify old of new.Is this making sense? Please help.

    Export your addresses from your EQ account by going into the enhanced mail (check username management on the myembarq homepage to see what your default mail client is) and clicking the options tab at the top, then address book, then click export and save the .csv file to your This is the file you will import into Yahoo. Then sign into yahoo. You can't use the wizard contact importer so you'll have to go to Options and then Mail Options then Contact Options at the bottom of the list. Then go to Import/Export, then choose a Microsoft Outlook .CSV file, then click browse and choose the file you exported from Embarq and there you go.

No...it is not entirely clear, but I will try. 1. If the Embarg (dont know what that is) account is a Yahoo address then all you have to do is to open up OPTIONS on your email page..then go to MAIL ADDRESSES and add your new email address. Your old one should remain. Then use your address list and send all your buddies a message using the new email address. Everything you had with the old one will remain. I believe after all things are said and done you can delete the old one (not really necessary). 2. If? embarq is not an Yahoo email account then you CANT transfer the account. You will have to send everything to your new Yahoo email address. If that is the case I hope you dont have alot...lol...
