Letter sent to the old address, what happens to it?

If you write a letter to someone and sent it through the mail, but only put the recipients address. how would,?

  • you know if they had received it?? i had sent a letter to my best friend tell him how i felt and thought.. i didnt want him to send a letter back to my house so i have him write one and personally hand it to me. but when i sent it i only put his address...how would i know if he got it? i know i put his address right so is there any other way that i can know?

  • Answer:

The letter WILL be delivered to the address on the envelope. The people there will have to figure out who gets it, since you didn't want to put his name on it. .(not a good idea)....................Why didn't you put his name on it ???................ Why don't you just ask him ( ??? if he's your "best friend"). Maybe his mother or father opened it---(since his name wasn't on it)---and he may be embarrassed about whatever you said in the letter. His silence should be your answer.
