Why do I get an error message when I open my address book?

Yahoo Mail Edit contacts error message?

  • 1) I get this error message: "The same Yahoo! Messenger ID cannot be used by more than one contact." How can I edit my contacts?? And update email addresses when I keep getting this message. some of my contacts have changed their email address and I can't update my address book. HELP! 2) Also, all my contacts have their information duplicates 2, 3 or even 8 times. Why is this happening? Each contact shows the name twice, the email address as primary and email 2 and the same for messenger 1 and 2. **I have tried searching under Yahoo help desk, but couldn't find an answer.

    Yeah that fix duplicate thing never worked that well at the best of times.I have to clear the duplicates out by hand. Just tick the box to the left and click delete and confirm Have a good day. Jess :)

I have the exactly the same problem. This is really bothering when it comes to updating the contact. I believe that is a Yahoo problem. Not sure where to ask to fix this problem.
