USPS mailing question?

USPS mailing question help please?

  • My friend sent me a package through General delivery on USPS and I can't get it, BUT she gave me a confirmation number. So, i was wondering if someone else can pick it up if he says "i'm picking up the package for Wamishda (me), and i have the confirmation number so i can sign my signature". and he signs it. is that okay? or is that not allowed? please help, all help is welcome. god bless you all this holiday season.

  • Answer:

Depending where it is comming from,it can take up to a week to get it. And any one trying to pick it up would need more than I'm picking it up for someone Like ID and some other proof have a good one Jes***

Other answers

I would think that a little more information should be provided for the pick-up person to take. I would give them written authorization to pick up parcel (package) with Confirmation # ______, mailed from the original sender, including their mailing address, and then listing the addressee on the package (you) and the actual mailing address. I might also include the information that the pick-up person was doing this because you were unable to do so (and maybe the reason) I would suspect that the Post Office would honor such a request, especially since it has all of the information. Good luck
