How do I get an alert to pop up when I have email?

How do I get the email address to pop up when i start typing it in the TO box when composing?

• I used to be able to go to compose an email and then go to the TO box and type in 2 letters then the email address would just pop up in the TO box. Without me having to type the whole email address. Is there some way to fix this. It doesn't work any more?

  If you're referring to Yahoo----you can try to enable --or-- Re-enable the "Auto-complete" setting. On mail page, click on "options" (top right)---then scroll to and click on "general preferences". On that page---- scroll down to *Auto Complete"---near the bottom of the page, and check the button by ----"use Auto-complete"-----then click "save". This action has been fading in and out for a while now, so if it still doesn't work----try this to insert addresses. >Click on compose or forward first. >Then click directly on the word TO, and your mailing list opens. >Select the name(s) you want---and then click the "insert checked contacts" tab. >Names appear on the line you designated and the list closes.
