How do I create a group email list from my address book? how can i send to certain contacts at once ?
-
I want to keep a number of people from my contacts on a group email list. So how do I create a list or a group that I can just quickly click on to put them all in a 'to:' field for a composed email? And is there a limit to how many people can receive an email from me? Are you limited to 50 people or anything like that? Please help. Thanks

Answer:
Create a Category In Yahoo: First you must have all contacts in your address book. Do this for each group/category you wish to enter. 1. From your Yahoo Mail page, click the Contacts tab. 2. Check the boxes next to the names you want in this group (category). 3. Click the "Add To Category" tab above the address book. 3. In the new drop down menu, click on "New Category." 4. Type the title of the category in the box that opens in the upper left. Click OK. 4. When you wish to send an email to the group, click on "TO" to open the address book which has been set up just for emailing. 5. Click on "Categories" in the top left corner of your mailing list, above the list and across from "My Contacts" for mailing. 6. When your list of categories opens, check the box next to the "title" of your group, go to the top and click on "Insert Checked Contacts." Your list of Categories will also be displayed in the left navigation bar of your address book. These are for editing only. Click to open one if you wish to add or delete a contact. NOTE: All names wil remain in your regular address book also.

You can set up a "Category"---that's what Yahoo calls a list. On your mail page, click on "contacts" and your address book opens. >>check each name you want in this category. >>then click the "add to category" link-(next to the "send to" tab). >>in the drop down list, click on "new category" and a name box opens. >>type in a name---no special characters, nor more than 12 letters. Just keep it simple--and then click "ok"----and it's done. The category name should appear in the side panel of your address book under "categories" (for editing purposes)>>>>AND>>>>in the drop down mailing list-(when you click on the word TO). Click on the "category" link next to "my contacts", and the different categories are listed. All you have to do now, is enter the "category name" in the address line you prefer, and everyone in that category automatically gets the mail. Yes---there is a limit to the number of people you can send to a one time. However----no one seems to know the exact number,--- cause a lot of it depends on the size of the message, AND, which address line you use. The BCC line (blind courtesy copy), allows the least number (about 30 or less)---but they may have changed that number. The TO line allows the most.
