A change was made to the layout of my Yahoo Address Book.?
-
One day, just out of the blue, the layout of the page for my Yahoo Address Book changed to a different format and I can't stand it. To make matters even worse, there is no place on the page now for options, and if I click on Help on that page, it takes me to Yahoo Messenger Contacts Help. That's not what I need. This is for my Yahoo Address Book. I just wanted to make that clear. It USED to have 1/4 of the page on the left side for the action options, while the right 3/4 of the page had all of my contacts, along with some detail for them (phone, email, etc.) shown. It was very easy to read, and had been in that format for years. Now, the left 1/4 page is a small column of my contacts, and the right 3/4 of the page is virtually blank, except for this information: Contacts (131) •Select a Contact to view or edit details •Choose multiple contacts to email them all at once or add to a category •Filter your Contact list from the drop-down menu at the upper left Do More in Your Contacts Enjoy a clean Contacts list. » Fix duplicate entries . My question is, how can I get the layout of my page back to the way it was, has always been, and the way I really like it? I am not a novice when it comes to Yahoo, so I am looking for advanced help in this matter. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Answer:
Starr, we are all a frustrated as you. I cannot tell you how this change in layout has made life miserable. From what I am reading, I know that there are many of us with the same exact complaints. I have been sending Yahoo emails everywhere I can about this mess they have created. One of the most astounding encounters is calling Tech Support at ATT to explain the problems, and I was speaking with someone in India, who didn't even understand ! We have lost the ability to communicate with people - we cannot even find which of the selections to send to, since they have removed all identifying information like email addresses, phone and cell numbers and nicknames. My help isn't advanced, but, here are a few email addresses: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/cfeedback.html http://feedback.mail.yahoo.com/feedback_%E2%80%A6 http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/basics/whatsnew-01.html Good luck to all of us

This is what Yahoo said---We hope you enjoy our new "enhanced" and "user friendly" format (oh,yeah?--well, I don't think so). In any case you CAN'T return to the previous format. We can only hope they will change their mind about that----(but I wouldn't count on it). You can find the info (email address--phone # etc) of each contact by clicking on their name (not IN the box)----then in the right side screen click on Edit. An itty bitty info box appears at the bottom of that page, where you scroll to find the info you want. Not very "user friendly" I'm thinking.
