Email address keep sending out random emails to my contacts?

How do I send an email so that email contacts don't show?

  • Right now I am sending an email to myself and using bcc to keep my contact's email addresses private. I would like to be able to either enter "undisclosed receipient" as a send to address or to be able to keep my contacts emails private.

    I don't know of any way to do this. I DO know that your contact information is always encoded, just in case you decide to send a threatening e-mail to some government office. The information can then be requested of the IP provider to determine where the message was sent from. It's a security thing, we can't get away from it. At least not that I know of.

Some e-mail software can get at the BCC used by other people software, so be careful. In the interests of national security, the e-police are doing more about tracing people e-mail than they did in the past, so be careful there also. One of the ways spammers get your e-mail address is if you send humor to someone and they forward it to many other people with your e-mail address included in the forwardings. Take a look at the archives of discussion lists hosted by Yahoo and competitors. In general, the e-mail addresses of the participants are obscured so other people cannot see who they are. You can start a discussion group for you and friends on Yahoo, people have to contact you to join the group. Blogging affords similar privacy ... you post something ... other people link to you and quote you and comment on it ... there are blogging tools to identity everyone who has linked to your site ... this way you can have a discussion, everyone's e-mail is confidential, spam is microscopic compared to e-mail.
