Why is windows live messenger deleting some of my contacts?

How Do I Import Contacts Into Windows Live Messenger?

Hello, I am having some trouble importing my contcats into WIndows Live Messenger.. After spending 15 Minutes on Windows Live Messenger looking for the 'Import/Export Contacts' Button, I could not find it.. So i had to go to www.hotmail.com and do it manually from there. I managed to get all my contacts exported..And now, I need to get the contacts imported into my new Email. When i was exporting, I was asked to save an Excel file named 'WLMContacts". I got that onto my Desktop. Now, i have tried to import this, From www.hotmail.com but it says, The maximum contacts can only be 30.. Can i please have some help? Thanks.
