How do I put a calendar on my screen?

Good calendar program?

• I have been looking around the internet for a good calendar to download, but I haven't found anything. In this program I wan't to be able to put a due date in for something (i.e. school project, birthday), be able to choose whether it is weekly, monthly or yearly, and above all be able to set a reminder portion (i.e. set the "school project" date so that it comes up a week before on my screen automaticaly and says something like "you have one week before this happens" and then keep reminding me each day until the date.) thanks in advance
