I only have a partial email address; the last word before @yahoo.

Transfering email address book from old yahoo account to new one without having to buy some new expensive prog

  • I made the unpardonable mistake of answering a "survey" that included my email address. Now I am swamped with junk spam emails wanting to loan me money on real estate, enlarge my uh hu, etc. I have taken a new yahoo account and email address under another name, and am trying to transfer my address book from the old account to the new one. The process drops me into a screen that wants me to order a several hundred dollar copy of Microsoft Word Perfect in ordedr to do the transfer. I clearly don't want to waste this money, as my current word processor works just fine. I'm a bit of a newby so please give me step by step directions that a 12 year old can follow! Any suggestions to make this process less painful???? Thanks!

  • Answer:

You should ask Yahoo for this information. If you had turned on the spam filter on the prior account almost all of those unwanted emails would go to the spam folder which is automatically emptied for you. You will eventually have the same problem. And, by the way, Microsoft does not sell WordPerfect. Their word process is MSWord which you probably already have. WordPerfect is a product of Corel.
