How do we go back to the old Yahoo! calendar?
-
This new one really sucks and seems to be very buggy. - I use the week view and want my week to start on Mondays... it intermittently reverts back to Sundays. - I get multiple reminders about events instead of just the ONE I requested. - Sometimes it does not make the changes I ask it to. Other times it makes changes I do NOT ask for. - The stickers seem to now be made for children rather than both children and adults. - I do not like the new calendar's horizontal view instead of the vertical one. I find the new view has too many lines and appears cluttered and is more difficult to see. The other was clean with lots of white space. - When creating new events, the time choices are not smart. ie: the end time does not move to being to past the start time so extra scrolling is required. Also, there is no longer the option to simply chose # of hours/minutes rather than an end time. I found that extremely convenient in the old one. This calendar is simply less useful than the old one and and I've tried to report the bugs to Yahoo! but there was no answer and no fix. It's been a few months now and I'm still very unhappy with this calendar, so I'm not getting used to it. What can be done? Do I simply just have to switch to a new email/calendar provider? I've been with Yahoo! for years! :(

Answer:
According to Yahoo----the good old (easy to use and efficient) calendar is gone forever and will NOT be returned.

I agree. I have used the "new" calendar since about Jan 2011 and am very dissatisfied with it. Some of the basic features of an electronic calendar are missing. Just as an example: The capability to make changes to a repetitive schedule in a global manner. Instead you have to change each and every occurrence. The most efficient way to update a schedule is to delete and start over. Not good design. It appears to have been designed and programmed by someone who has no idea what an electronic calendar is all about. And was not tested completely. The "new" calendar appears to be a totally new calendar instead of an enhancement to the previously better calendar. Even a free application should be better than its previous version. It has caused me to rethink the paid for version of Yahoo Mail.
