What is address line 2 for?

What do "address line 1 and line 2" mean?

  • I AM FILLING MY APPLICATION FORM IN ALERTPAY AT THE MOMENT AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO WRITE IN ADDRESS LINE 1, LINE 2... I NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE, ASAP! THANKS A LOT.

  • Answer:

Address 1 is usually your physical address (where you live). Address 2 would be a mailing address (where you actually want mail to go, i.e. a post office box).

If there isn't a line for a suburb, write your suburb there on the 2nd address line. If there is a line for the suburb, the 2nd address line is there in case you run out of room on the 1st address line.

First, stop shouting. Second, if you have a long address, i.e.; Your Name 123 Some Street Suite A or Apt 42 Anytown, USA You would use address line 2. Otherwise the USPS is pretty smart and they will be able to figure it out.
