Can I transfer my email address to another email provider?

• I purchased my email address from register.com but register.com charged too much when another email provider charge only $10 per year. My question is can I move or transfer my email address to another email provider? I don't want my email address ending with yahoo.com or gmail.com. For example, my current email address is [email protected] I want the same address to be transferred to another email provider.

  email providers have different domains, so if your previous is a "defiance.com", and your new is "defense.com", the name before the domain can be used and it would be lik "[email protected]". but for some email providers also, they offer a special and unique system of email creation in which the customer can pick his/her own choice. like if the provider is "defense.com" and you want it to be a complete different one such as "[email protected]", your request will undergo thorough investigation IF what you choose has NO the same domain with other sites. and once it is okied, then you can get that choice. so all will depend on the provider upon your request. but mostly, additional charge will be imposed.
