Edit email address list?

When sending email to a list that is not mine how do I address everyone by their first name ?

  • I want to send an email to a list that is not my own and would like to automatically address everyone on the list by their first name How do I do this ? I have permission from the list owner to do this and have my email ready to go but not sure how this works - obviously it happens automatically but is there anything I need to include in my email body or address line ? or will his list do this automatically ?

  • Answer:

As a rule----the names will appear "exactly" as they are entered on his list. IF you make any changes, the email will be voided (due to incorrect addresses) and won't be sent. IF you mean that you want to send one email to a group of people and each recipient see "only" their own name. Then no----you would have to send individual emails to personalize it like that. IF you want to hide the names/addresses from each other---you can put the "name" of the list on the BCC line (blind courtesy copy), and nobody will be able to see ANY of the names (including their own).
