How do I transfer contact list to new e-mail address?

How do you automatically take an incoming email address and quickly transfer it to my address/contact book?

  • I am trying to take an incoming email address (request to me on my email list), and to EASILY add this email address to my address book (contacts) for future emailings. It is way toooo time consuming to write it down and then switch to address/contacts, and then type it in... even copy and paste is difficult. There must be a way, as other systems even ask if you want to add to your address/contact book. All help is greatly appreciated!......

  • Answer:

Put a check mark in the add contact to address book in email options and filtering settings. Good Luck. It should easy.

I have Windows Vista and Windows Mail. I usually click on the name of the incoming mail, and it brings up the address book. But then I have to type it in. However, if the person mailing me sends frequent posts, then my computer automatically inserts the name in my address book.

Next time you receive email from a new sender, click on the 'Add to Address Book' button (it's located after the sender's email address, on the 'From' field).
