How do I delete an incorrect entry from the address book?

Why can't I delete a contact from my Yahoo address book?

• I tried going through the procedure listed in Yahoo to delete this contact but I just can't get rid of it. What I really want to do is change the email address for this contact but even though the old email address is gone from the file, when I start typing the name in the address block of an email, the old email address pops up. I've gone back to my address book and the new email address is the only thing there but for some reason it is not forgotten. I have erased everything in this email address and then left Yahoo. When I come back, the new address is the only email address listed in my contacts but when I type in the name in a new email, the old email address shows up. Any help???

  Your Contacts list and your browser "cookies" are two completely separate things.When you start to type, your browser will auto-complete things you've previously typed before. Simply continue to type the whole new address, and your browser's "cookies" will eventually remember it just like it did the old address.
