What does it mean to "Forward Mail?

What does BBC mean when I am forwarding mail? I want to forward mail without showing the contact from whom it?

  • Answer:

✖ Instead of entering all the recipents on the TO: section, add them to the BCC: section and put your own name on the TO: section. ✖ BCC means Blind Carbon Copy - each person will receive the message but they only see there own name as a recipient and they cant see the other recipients ₪ sɹǝʍsuɐ ooɥɐʎ ₪

It should be Bcc. Try it this way. You will see all three fields (To, Cc, or Bcc). ADDRESS BOOK FOR EMAILING IN YAHOO: 1. Click on the New or Forward tab to open the Compose page. 2. Click on "TO" and your address book will open on top of the page you are in. 3. Check the boxes (TO, Cc or Bcc) next to those you wish to send or Forward to. NOTE: To protect your friends security and privacy, enter the names you wish to hide in the Bcc field. (They cannot see the other names). 4. Go to the top or bottom of the list and click on "Insert Checked Contacts." The address book will close and the names you selected will be in the fields you selected. You are ready to Compose or Forward your message. Click Send. DELETE PREVIOUS ADDRESSES: You can only edit After you click on Forward. After you click on Forward, the previous addresses will be in your message area. You should be able to edit anything in the email, even the subject line. Highlight all of the previous addresses (click and drag), then press the delete key on on your keyboard. Sometimes you may need to do a few at a time because the delete doesn't always work on a large list. Go inside the blue line to get the rest. Can't remove that lately. NOTE: Be careful though. Sometimes you may delete the message also, if you go too far.

The BCC is "Blind Carbon Coy" which serves to give the receivers privacy and prevents the use of the "Reply All" from someone unknown. As soon as I receive an email I wish to pass on, I select "Forward", and in the "To" place my email address, then open the Address Book by selecting the "To". Select the box BCC, (not the name) for each person you wish emailed, up to 99, and at the bottom left of the Address Book - Select "Insert Checked Contacts" The next step, for me, is to go back to the email and delete the sender information from the forwarded email. I usually look through the email again to see if any addresses are at the bottom as well. Watch for a few addresses that say "More" in faint blue, which means that there are more addresses behind it (to be deleted) This is a much safer way to send emails than the others (To, or CC), as you will only see the email addresses you sent within your "Sent" folder, nowhere else, and nobody else can see them. Good luck
