How do i delete contacts in my address book?

I don't know how to delete contacts in my address book?

I have some addresses that need to be updated and when I click on the contact it does not give me the option to make changes or delete them altogether. Please help!
Answer:

check them by clicking the box near them and then go to the top or bottom and click delete
