How to sort a particular page in gridview?

Why has my Contacts page has changed? It will not allow me to sort by surname?

  • The page simply states I have x number of contacts but no longer looks like the page I am used to, nor is it the same as that in the Tutorials. What have you done, why have you done it and can I have my old page back please?

  • Answer:

Yahoo has been reformatted. We all need to complain "Send Feedback" Have you checked your "Categories" ? They are the same mess. Maybe it is for the social networks or for cell phone use, as it is severely limited now. This change happened to me around the 25th of August and I have been trying to go back to the "Original" version of Yahoo "Classic" email since then. AT&T Yahoo says that Yahoo reformatted the design completely. It sure is confusing. Actually, it is more than that, it is virtually unusable, especially for someone visually impaired. We need to let Yahoo know.Contact Yahoo. Front page at bottom "Send Feedback". Yahoo has said that is where you let them know about reactions to their changes. We all hate the new format. It is unusable. Maybe it is ok for social networking or cell phones, but it isn't ok for all of the rest of us who use email on a daily basis. I also have many businesses, parts-people, and others that can only be contacted by email. Since I have no idea of their first names, this is actually absurd. Go back, Yahoo. We cannot afford to lose all the information we have stored in the contacts information pages. Let Yahoo know. "Send feedback"

My address book / contacts page has it appears been "upgraded in the same way - I had no idea this was going to happen. I much preferred the old format with some 800 categorised contacts names / numbers and emails displayed individually in blue on the main page which was so easy to work with by scrolling down. Sadly it now replicates the mail contacts list - which I hardly ever use as I prefer OE. I contacted BT yahoo tech help yesterday - (who are my ISP provider and who it appears were also not advised of the changes) to try and get the old address book format back but they could do nothing after some 20 minutes with a technician. Such a shame, I think this is a retrograde "upgrade".

Yahoo, upgraded it.

This is yahoos latest upgrade. There is not a way to change it back. I wish they would leave things alone that are not broken and work on the things that are. Classic should stay the way it was that is the reason a lot of people use classic because they liked the way it was and did not like the all new email. Good luck!!!
