On snail mail, it once meant that you sent out a "Carbon Copy" using carbon paper to transfer your note to another page when you were using a typewriter. Now it just means you are sending a copy to everyone that you addressed under CC & the original reader will see who it was sent to. BC means Blind copy and the addressees are hidden from the receiver. So when you go through your addrss book for sending an email, you can check the CC box by someone's name & they get the copy too. Then you will not need to send the same email twice..

I am pretty sure it means copy. So if u sent it to Bobby and Maria but you didnt want Bobby to know it was sent to Maria then you would put maria in the blank box
