How to know which email addresses in my contacts are inactive?

How can I see all the email addresses of my contacts in Hotmail?

  • Okay, here's the thing. Some of my friends (a lot of them it seems) all have Hotmail Accounts whereas I have a Yahoo! Account. Because of this, I made a Hotmail Account. One day, a friend of mine asked me to ask a whole bunch of other guys to come over for some party or something. I figured it would make more sense to send all the emails at once instead of separately or calling them individually as they are always checking their Hotmail Accounts. Therefore, I want to find a complete list of my friends accounts. I was able to export all my contacts into a word file or something but the email addresses weren't there so I need to know how to do that. But I need help right away!!! The party is on soon so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton in advance!

You can ask Yahoo to import all the contacts out of Hotmail and then you have to put up with its rather slow loading. Anyway it will make life a bit easier if you have a look at the way messages are presented in Hotmail. Usually the order is chronological, but for your purposes the best way is to sort it by sender so it becomes like a mailing list. Having done that it might be the next thing is to get Yahoo to swallow it. Now the way I would try to do it is convert the addresses into comma separated fields and save it on to a diskette, and use the much quicker program of Outlook Express to do your will. Yahoo and Hotmail are very slow mailers. If you want a mass mailer neither is altogether suitable, and you would do well to download the following program first; COPERNIC AGENT from www.copernic.com and use that with its ability to do a search and give you a nice saved report you can come back to, search on FREEWARE MASS MAILERS. So breaking it down first get the data on a diskette by saving and loading to a:\ now you get over the hassle of finding all the directories the programs hide their stuff in. You can hold the data in a hand, on a diskette. Now you can get Outlook Express to swallow it all. If desired you can also put it into a Mass Mailer program, and send from Outlook Express to wherever or use the Mass Mailer. That is about how I would go about it. If all else fails have an early night, then get an agency to do it for you.
