CALENDAR Q! How to post an event directly to either yahoo calendar or outlook calendar?
-
the question is how to post "events and appointmens" direct to outlook calendar or to yahoo calendar? -- when I do get those notices on an e-mail -- how do program the transfer of the event date and its content direct to one or the other calendars listed above. Constructive simple help would be appreciated. ( I know how to open yahoo and outlook calendar--however i wish to transfer direct from the e-mail itself the text to the outlook calendar --the said appointments/rendez-vous -- ? Please help by showing step by step instructions. thanks

Answer:
How to add an event. In the day, week, or month view, click the "Add Event" button on the upper left of your calendar. From the day view, you can also click the hour in which your event starts. This will take you to the New Event page, where you can set: Title: A short description of the event, 80 characters or less, that will appear in your calendar. Use the "Notes" field if you need to use more than 80 characters. Type: Specify the type of event. Date: The date on which your event occurs. If you want the event to appear on multiple days, make it a recurring event. Time: If the event doesn't have a specific time, select "All Day Event." All day events will appear at the top of your day view. For events that happen between set times, select the time the event will start from the pull-down menus. Specify how long the event will last by selecting the number of hours from the duration pull-down menus. Notes: Allows you to enter more detail about an event. This field will not appear in calendar views but will appear when you click the event. Sharing: If you have activated calendar sharing, this field determines how the event will appear to others. Repeating: Allows you to save time by repeating events rather than entering each instance separately. More information on repeating events. To open the Repeating section, click the "Show" link. To close the Repeating section, click the "Hide" link. Invitations: Allows you to send email to others about the event. The invitation email will include an "Add to My Calendar" link for the recipient to easily add the event to their Yahoo! Calendar if "No RSVPs" is selected. You will receive an email when a guest responds if "Request RSVPs" is selected. To open the Invitations section, click the "Show" link. To close the Invitations section, click the "Hide" link. Reminders: Specify the time and email address to which reminders will be sent. Reminders can be sent to an email address, mobile device such as a pager, or Yahoo! Messenger. To open the Reminders section, click the "Show" link. To close the Reminders section, click the "Hide" link. Press the "Save" button to save and schedule your event or the "Save and Add Another" button to create another event.
