Address Book: Why are contacts listed by email add in Edit List?

When I try to add contacts to a list, the Edit box lists them alphabetically by email address, not name. No visible means to change sort order. It used to sort them by name. Can I change it? All Contacts and all Lists are all sorted by Last Name.
