How do I delete someone from my address book and all contacts?

How do I delete my contacts in my address book without deleting my messenger contacts?

• I have imported my address info from my Outlook,but since some of the info or contacts were already there, I have duplicates. I need to know how to delete my contacts in my yahoo, without deleting my messenger contacts, without checking each one individually. Then I want to re import them from Outlook. I don't want them deleted from my messenger tho. Can anyone help?

  Your address book and messenger listsd are entirely different . The messenger list is only composed of contacts who acepted you invitation to chat. The address book is usually composed of your friends and contacts. How to start this adress book. After sending an e-mail to your contact. An option is available, if you want to add them in your address book. Click on that and they will be address book. This way their e-mail adress is on record. And everytime, you want to send an e-mail you can do this under the envelope icon. Or you can bring up your compose window and after you tpe a few letters, the e-mail adress will show up. After the list is completed, you fill in the details of this contact under view / contacts details. There's a delete button to the left bottom. Anybody you delete from the address book will be deleted but your messenger list remain intact. If you delete anybody from the messenger list; it asks if you want to delete this person from the address book. Another way, after you highlighted the contact. Then you go to Contacts and there is a delete button again way in the bottom.
