How do I delete email contacts?

How do I delete a person in my, “Online Contacts”, of yahoo email that isn’t in my contacts list?

• I’ve read a LOT of questions and answers to this problem and TOO OFTEN people say things that are NOT an answer to their question so please READ. I use yahoo mail, NOT MESSENGER. In yahoo mail there is, nevertheless, an, “Online Contacts”, list. In that list there is ONE PERSON sitting there, call him X. There is NO X in my contacts list. There is no evident location in YAHOO MAIL where X resides. And yet, there he is in my "Online Contacts". This is NOT an example of wanting to BLOCK him or be INVISIBLE to him, etc., so do not even bother telling me that. I want X G-O-N-E…D-E-L-E-T-E-D! Obviously he is in a list of mine SOMEWHERE since he appears in my "Online Contacts", so WHERE is this "Online Contacts" list that clearly isn't my Contacts list because he isn't in there? HOW DO I DELETE HIM???? NOBODY seems to have an answer OR they say, “Go into messenger and…” I am NOT using messenger! It is just yahoo email. Or they say, “Well you go here to block them…or ‘stealth’ them, or make yourself invisible”. NO! I do NOT want him in there…AT…ALL! Get it!? Certainly there is SOME WAY to remove X from whatever list he is on that is specifically associated with me and I want him GONE off that list. This isn't a case of being in some public community since...THERE WOULD BE MILLIONS of people there too! There is not! There is ONE! ONE PERSON...X...and he is sitting there. How do I delete him?? O.O

  What has worked for me is to open the chat window when it appears as if you were going to read or reply. Top right, click decline then decline again. They do disapear Then CHEW a Valium 10 and chase with a shot of bourbon. Hopefully that will help calm your nerves some. Peace Out, Laurie
