    "cc" stands for carbon copy, which means the sender is mailing a copy of the letter to the person listed after the "cc". "bcc" means blind carbon copy, and is NOT noted on the original letter, but usually does appear on the sender's copy. it means they mail a copy to the person listed after the "bcc", but that no one else knows about it. for example, if you wrote a nasty letter to a business that screwed you over, you could send a cc to your attorney, and bcc to your best friend just so they could read it for entertainment, but you wouldn't want the business to know that! lol

CC = Carbon Copy - other people the email gets sent to along with the ones in the TO list BCC = Blind Carbon Copy - these addresses also get a copy of the email, however their addresses are NOT shown to the people in the TO and CC fields. Good if you want to send a copy to a third party without the person you're emailing with knowing.

when you wish that your other mails should also be read/seen by other people (other than the one/s it is originally sent to) you put their names in cc (carbon copy). Here the original receipient knows who else is reading/seeing this mail.
