I am switching from a Yahoo acct with AT&T (sbcglobal.net) how can I transfer my address book & folders?
-
I tried using the wizard, but the @sbcglobal.net was not an option to transfer from --- I thought that was kind of weird.

Answer:
Not that I've had many different e-mail accounts in the 5 years of owning a computer, but the problem is probably in transfering your folders from one web mail account to another. If I'm wrong, someone please let me know. I know you can import your web mail folders from MSN Mail or Hotmail to Outlook or Outlook Express, but I don't think it works between all web mail providers. Again, if I'm wrong, someone please let me know. You might end up having to e-mail them to yourself. This is why I never use web mail to store stuff in. I use Outlook, or Incredimail for reader programs, and store it on my hard drive. You should be able to transfer your address book by exporting (if SBC supports this) it to a .csv file in your "My Documents" or some other folder, then importing it to Yahoo from there.

you have 2 options with at&t during registration you have the option to merge the 2 accounts witch will automaticly bring your address book over. if you did not do that during registration or would rather not merge the accounts you can click on options the the top right corner then click on inport/export and export your bookmarks preferably as a yahoo file then log into your AT&T e-mail and do the exact same thing options > inport export > address book > inport from yahoo csv. this will move your address over to your new account. AT&T internet services does support this function of AT&T Yahoo mail even if some of the agents working their dont realize it.
