How do I delete some email addresses from my contacts list?

Why does email addresses I have deleted come up in autofill?

• I have deleted old addresses from my contacts list - yet they keep coming up in autofill when I want to send an email. I keep going back to the address book to delete them again but they are not there. Why would deleted addresses come up like that. It is frustrating

  Actually they are there, you just cant see them If you go to the Contact page..at the top of the list..you'll see a button that says.. show all contacts> (drop down menu)show deleted contacts. They stay in there -- I guess just in case. There's a lot of electronic glitches that end up deleting people's entire contact list. It s a pretty common one, in fact. I guess the minor inconvenience of having a name come up on auto-complete is less than people losing all of their contacts. Esp business people. Its hard covering all the possible bases for peoples preferences in creating programming-- so we just adapt to things. You can avoid a lot of auto fill choices by typing 2-3 letters instead of one.
