How to block email addresses of spammers on yahoo?

• I get TONS of spam email. I know how to block addresses in yahoo. BUT I do NOT know how to see the email addresses of those spamming me. It'll be like "Youtube" but I can't see the email address of the sender, and I don't want to open the email to find it!!!

• Answer:

  Many people will just tell you how to mark an email as spam but the steps below will allow you to BLOCK the particular email address without opening the email (once you open anything marked as spam this will verify that your email address is valid to the spammer). I have finally figured this out after some time of trying to resolve. Obviously, you must have spam protection turned on. 1. Go to your "Spam" folder 2. Checkmark the first "Spam" email (do not open it, just check the box) 3. "Right click" while hovering over the subject of the spam mail 4. Select "Filter Emails Like This" 5. "Highlight" the spammers email address (2nd box after sender line) 6. "Right click" and select "Copy" 7. "X" out of that box or select "Cancel" 8. Click on "Options" 9. Select "Blocked Addresses" on the left 10. "Paste" the address in the box and select the "+" sign The particular address is now blocked. This does seem like quite a few steps but it isn't really and this is the easiest way to block spam addresses since Yahoo mail doesn't seem to be capable of allowing it.
