Why can`t I download attachments?

Why cant i download any attachments?

• new to computers and dont know what to do, everytime i try to open an email attachment i get this notice "INVALID MENU HANDLE", and the attachment wont open. i went into "tools, internet options, and security. there was a slider in securitys, i tried adjusting it to high and low but my computer said to leave it at "medium" for best security. my email attachments still wont open. what is this "invalid menu handle" and how do i get my email attachments to open? any help will be appreciated, thank you so much. cookie
