How to download shared photos on Flickr?

Can I download photos without using flickr?

• I would like to just be able to save my photos on my computer without using flickr or any other site, flickr does not allow you to open your photos a look at them in full view. Some pictures are also just personal and I dont want them on the internet at all

  I am a professional photographer. Windows (I don't know about mac) makes it very easy to download photos from your card or camera. First, if when you connect your camera some program automatically starts (flickr?) then you need to change the options in that software NOT to automatically detect hardware or external storage. If you can't do that, then just shut down any programs that start automatically when you attached your camera/card. Go to "My Computer" and navigate to the camera/card. Leave this window open. Again, go to "My Computer" and navigate to the folder where you want to store your photos. Most people put them in: C:\Documents and Settings\ your name \My Documents\My Pictures I created a folder that is much easier to find: C:\Photos, and then create sub-folders by date, subject, event, client, publication. In the camera/card window, select the image files you want. Then Control C (copy) Mouse (or <alt><tab>) to the window with your PHOTO folder. Then do Control V (paste) The next task is to get an image viewer. I always turn off that feature so that I can do it manually.
