How do I permanently delete "attachments & photos" in those email folders?

It says "Check All", but when I click delete, they all still there??? Help

Answer:
Yahoo mail? After you delete empty your trash folder...then its gone. Outlook mail - just hold "Shift" down when you delete and it will permanently delete it...or once deleted, empty your trash bin.
