What can I do to open attachments from emails?

    If you are using the new Beta Mail format, this is one of the known problems that Yahoo is working on. Read this for more details: http://www.ymailblog.com/ Meanwhile, until it is fixed, change to your earlier version. In Beta mail: 1. Click on the 'Help' drop-down arrow in the upper left-hand side of the screen. 2. Scroll down, then click - 'Return to Original Mail'. 3. When you reach the Confirmation window, complete the form and click Continue. 4. Wait for the page to re-load.

Do you have Outlook? As a rule, Outlook blocks some attachments depending on the type of file and their associated risk. The full reasons why are explained in my first source link with a list of all the file types that are affected. You can unblock the files you want with some technical know-how and the full steps are explained in my second source link (a knowledge base article on the Microsoft website). However some of the steps involve diving into the deep underbelly of your computer so if you feel you are not confident enough with the steps provided, ask someone with more experience to help you.
