How can I retrieve all sent e-mail messages. Also, how can I have all e-mail sent stay in my sent folder?

My sent folder is not keeping any of my sent messages. How can I retrieve all e-mail message sent out in December 2010? It is very important that I retrieve them all.. Thank You, Patrice Nabbie

Answer:
go to "mail options" select "general" check the box that says "save sent messages in SENT folder" if your old sent messages arent in the sent folder, they are gone
