Why can't I see my mail attachment?

Why cant i down load a e-mail with a attachment cant even bring the attach up, to see what it says?

  • Answer:

If you are using the Beta mail format, a posting on the Yahoo blog said that this was a known issue that is being worked on by staff. "Attachment upload/download slowness and failure issues – we are aware of these issues and we will release fixes as soon as we possibly can. We’ll keep you up to date on this blog and our suggestions board. Thanks for your patience!" http://www.ymailblog.com/blog/2011/03/ NEW EDIT: I found this Yahoo staff response a few days ago, on page 6 then, in the Suggestions Board. It should help. by Yahoo! Mail Beta employee Scott | 1 month ago http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=mailbeta&fid=241770 "One thing that sometimes catches users is that the paperclip in the header (that has the number of attachments next to it) only scrolls the attachments into view. So, in shorter messages, clicking on this appears to do nothing. The actual attachments will be in the footer of the message. It appears at the bottom of the message in a bar with a heading like "Other Attachments" (for non-image attachments) or "Image Attachments" (for image type attachments). This is where the actual downloadable parts are. Are you seeing this bar? One other thing I noticed is some inline text (e.g. a signature) is causing the paperclip to appear but the attachment bar is not appearing. This seems like a bug to me and I'll be checking whether the paperclip should not appear or whether we should be offering this text pieces as downloads. Thanks, Scott " In the meantime, try reverting to your previous working version. Within a few months, Yahoo will only offer what is now called 'Beta Mail' and 'Classic Mail' - no more 'All-New'. Some people trying to go back to All-New have had difficulty with this. (It might be depending on which Yahoo server they are on, since the roll-out will be gradual.) You will have no other choices. In Beta mail: 1. Click on the 'Help' drop-down arrow in the upper left-hand side of the screen. 2. Scroll down, then click - 'Return to Original Mail'. 3. When you reach the Confirmation window, complete the form and click Continue. 4. Wait for the page to re-load. If you get All-New Mail: 1. Click 'Options' at the top right. 2. Click 'Mail Classic' to return to it. Or click 'Beta Mail' 3. Wait for the page to re-load.
