Why is it that I cannot forward pictures on yahoo?

Why can't I get yahoo mail to forward images or pictures?

  • In the last 2 weeks or so, I have not had success forwarding emails with embedded pictures. They look fine when I send them. What the recipient gets is just the frames for the pictures and text showing the location on the webmail server, presumably where Yahoo had the images when they were in my inbox. Obviously since they don't have access to my account they wouldn't be able to see the pics. In the past I have had problems but had been able to work around them by either: - switching from the new mail to Mail Classic - copying the email and pasting it all into Word and sending the Word document But neither works now. Mail Classic has the same problem and Word thinks for a long time adds say 6 pages to the blank document, but only text shows up. I can't see anything and nothing highlights when I go over the area. The only thing I can think of doing now is taking screen shots of the pictures, then individually pasting those screen shots in Word and then sending the Word document. I will switch emails before I do that! And I have had this same email address for 15 years! Can anyone help me?

    Have you tried send the e-mail to your firends as an attachment? I had the same problem until I forwarded the e-mail as an attachment. Hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard, then click the FORWARD button above the message you are forwarding.' A COMPOSE window opens, with the forwarded message attached as a .eml file. Type e-mail addresses and compose an e-mail as you normally would Clock SEND The receipients should receive the e-mail with the pictures embedded in the e-mail. It has worked for me.

I, too, recently started having the same problem so I tried the CONTROL / FORWARD method recommended here to test it out and the picture did appear in the recipient's email. However, doing it this way does not allow the sender to delete all the prior forwards, etc. and I always liked to clean up emails before forwarding them out. Any way of knowing if Yahoo is aware of this change and/or if they are working on correcting it? Any other method a user can access to fix the problem one's self? I tried sending a question about this directly to Yahoo but could not do that as I do not have a business account.

I agree, something has shifted in Yahoo!! I am having the SAME imbedding problem, what WAS working for the last 10 years is NO longer Working, so, sorry I don't have the answer, but am validating that it is not your computer , I do think it is something with the way Yahoo is operating now versus 2 weeks ago....for I imbed daily in my sendings!
