Does sending a picture message from your verizon phone to ur email count as a normal text message?

  It's two messages if you sent it via text both times. If you have email on your phone (which you don't if you have a regular phone most likely) then the email is a data thing which is usually covered under your data plan. Your friend sending from her email back to you though was a message. But you said you have unlimited messages so it doesn't really matter, right?
