Why can't I send emails with attachments anymore?

I cant download any attachments on emails sent to my yahoo account - help!?

I have recently deleted some old programmes off my computer that i haven't used in months/years - could i have deleted somethign in error? I have also just installed Norton internet security 2008. other than that there are no changes that have happened that i can think of. i cant download any attachments - word, excel, pdf, zip files etc from old emails either (that i have previously downloaded) so im pretty sure its nothing to do with corrupt or unreasable etc attachments. i have all the relevant applications such as office, adobe etc. what's going on?! please help.

This isn't an answer - sorry - I can't download any attachments from yahoo either, although I can access my work email from the same computer and I can download the same attachment (from my work email) but not from yahoo. Have sent an email to their help section. I'll let you know if I find out anything useful. Good luck!!!
